Hasami Porcelain Cup - Gloss Grey

Low and wide enough to take a tea, a coffee, a serving of yoghurt or a handful of nuts. The 8.5cm diameter runs across all three sizes and the rest of Hasami Porcelain, so cups nest into each other for storage and the 8.5cm plate sits on top as a lid. Natural has a fine texture close to the raw clay body, cool to the touch, with Black matt beside it and Gloss Grey smoother again.

Why we chose it: The clean lines, the texture in the hand, modularity that works: these are why we love Hasami. The same diameter across mugs, bowls and plates means anything you add later fits what you already own, and the cups nest down to almost nothing in a cupboard.

Choosing a size: A flat white is usually served in a 180ml cup, so the Short at 200ml is the closest to a café measure. The Regular at 300ml suits a mug of coffee or tea, and the Large at 450ml gives room for a long tea, filter brew or for water.
