The Little Veggie Patch Co. Basil 'Large Sweet Genova'
A beautiful herb perfect to pair with tomatoes, in the ground or on the table, or to make your perfect pesto. This can be the traditional way with pine nuts and garlic or with your preferred greenery and nuts.
This Genovese Basil has a flavour that is sweet and peppery. First bred in the Northwest coast of Italy, specifically the port town of Genoa. This is the preferred pesto basil for serious culinary types and is incredibly easy to grow and is adaptable, making this an excellent variety for home gardeners.

Soil: Free Draining with plenty of compost
How to Plant: Early in the season sow in trays, however once sufficiently warm sow directly into the garden near your tomatoes. Plant two seeds in each hole and water in. Keep moist, not wet, until germination.
